Overview: Honda Passport TrailSport
The most capable Honda SUV ever sold.
The Passport TrailSport takes the new 2026 Passport platform and adds the gear serious off-road buyers actually want: 31-inch General Grabber A/T Sport all-terrain tires, steel skid plates protecting the engine and fuel tank, an off-road-tuned suspension with longer travel, recovery points front and rear, and unique TrailSport styling. Combined with Honda's i-VTM4 torque-vectoring AWD and trail cameras, the TrailSport can handle moderate off-road trails without modification.

How It Compares to Competitors
The Passport TrailSport directly targets the Toyota 4Runner TRD Off-Road and Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk. Honda's advantage is on-road comfort and refinement; the 4Runner and Jeep have better articulation and lower-range gearing for serious rock-crawling.
Expert Review
We drove the TrailSport across the White Rim Trail in Moab without lifting a finger to switch into special modes — the i-VTM4 system just figured it out. On the highway home, it rode like a regular Passport. That's exactly the point.
