Overview: Honda Prologue
Honda's first true mass-market EV.
The 2026 Honda Prologue is Honda's first volume EV in America. Built in partnership with GM on the Ultium platform, the Prologue delivers up to 296 miles of EPA-estimated range, DC fast charging at up to 155 kW, and a roomy two-row interior with 25.2 cu ft of cargo space behind the rear seats. While the underlying platform is shared with the Chevy Blazer EV, Honda did its own suspension tuning, interior design, and software, resulting in a very Honda-like driving experience.

How It Compares to Competitors
The Prologue's main rivals are the Tesla Model Y, Ford Mustang Mach-E, Hyundai Ioniq 5, and Kia EV6. The Prologue offers more cargo space than the Tesla and a more refined ride than the Mach-E. It's not as fast or as efficient as the Model Y, but it has a more conventional-feeling interior.
Expert Review
The Prologue is the Honda EV for buyers who want a Honda EV today. The 0 Series is more advanced, but the Prologue is on dealer lots now, and it drives like a Honda — composed, quiet, and refined. We averaged 3.0 mi/kWh over a 700-mile test.
